Smooth Microfiber Leather For Garment Coat

Microfiber leather (ultra-fine fiber synthetic leather) is currently the high-performance artificial leather that most closely resembles natural leather. As a high-performance artificial leather, its physical properties are close to or partially exceed those of natural leather.
Firstly, the base fabric of microfiber leather is made by combining ultra-fine fibers (such as polyester and polyamide) with polyurethane (PU), which has a high tensile strength (usually longitudinal/transverse ≥ 15 MPa), surpassing natural leather and is less prone to tearing. Due to the three-dimensional network structure of the fibers, it has excellent tear resistance (≥ 80 N/mm) and good durability. The surface layer of PU/PVC is firmly bonded to the base fabric, with a high peel strength (≥ 50 N/2.5cm), making it less likely to delaminate.
Secondly, the ultra-fine fiber structure mimics the collagen fibers of natural leather, providing a soft hand feel and good drape, making it suitable for close-fitting clothing.
Thirdly, microfiber leather achieves breathability through fiber gaps and micro-pore structures (breathability ≥ 800 g/m²·24h), which is better than ordinary PU leather but slightly lower than high-quality natural leather.
Finally, the surface coating and high-density fiber structure give it excellent wear resistance (≥ 50,000 cycles in the Martindale abrasion test without damage), far exceeding natural leather, making it suitable for frequent use.
